Vincent looks human. He is not. Underneath a trace of what is left, the leather and gun oil is something bestial. But also something ancient and wrought from the essence of terror and death itself. Even if it isn't close to the surface right now, will Varker's other part discern its presence?
...The former Turk's action has more behind it than idle curiosity. He does need to know how Varker will react if they are going to work together. And whether or not that other brain understands their words, it's also polite to introduce himself.
