I'm all for a proper meritocracy myself.
I'm sure you've heard enough criticism for one day so just know not everyone disagrees with you.
Unfortunately, people here like to pile on, especially if they think Inmate rights are at stake.

[His inmate is back together, he's had a couple conversations with his 'dad' and 'step-father', and he's talked through boundaries(kind of?) with his boyfriend. Now the apology tour, or really just the one night show here in Valentine town.]
Hey, I was a dick before. Happens when your inmate already hates you and then you gotta go on a gifted scavenger hunt to find the pieces just so he can yell at you when you're done. You want to ask questions, I'm here for it.

I've got too many horses in this race as it is, so the defensiveness wasn't anything to do with you, but I'm sure you know that.
[Hanna rubs at his temples a moment, he knew the question would be the same, and yet he still doesn't know how to present the information.]
There were two people, and now a while mess of wardens involved in the attempt to contain the stupid fucking tidal wave it's going to set off. [Just in case Vincent thought he wasn't taking this seriously.]
Vincent Smith and Sokie Undertown. They were seeking further reprocussions for my death last month. A week in Zero didn't put the right message forward in their minds, and this did.

Logically, Nanaki knew that to be true. But he still felt a little relief whenever Vincent accepted his apology. "Thanks."
He shifted until eventually he flopped onto his side. "Aren't you glad that you're stuck with me and not that hellhound?" Said with as cheeky a look as his beastly face could get.

A bunch of people more interested in complaining than focusing on the work they are actually here to do.
[ Archer has very uncharitable opinions. ]
I've seen it before. And the resentment we face as Wardens has always been there. In the five years I've been here, there's always been a dedicated group of very loud Inmates who like to make their objections widely known.

[ Archer can blame them, but it's not a point he cares to argue. ]
Tess. William. Rhys Strongfork. Carol Denning. Takeshi Kovacs. Those are the Inmate names that immediately come to mind.
There was also a fairly vocal Warden who believed we should be run like a much more strict prison system, but that idea gained very little traction at the time. Kristin Ortega.

No. They were here and left long before your time.
One could make the argument Trevor was also such an individual the first time he was an Inmate - but he was less concerned about changing the current system as he was carrying out his own brand of justice. Though I'm sure he still objects to this place on principle.
[ As for the ones continuing the trend- ]
I would count some of the Inmates responding to Walter's post in that number. The ones giving you a hard time in particular.
And while I would object to a stricter system myself, it has been my experience that the ones who complain the loudest are also the least inclined to listen to other perspectives. Which makes it nearly impossible to engage in a good faith discussion.

Oh, I don't think there will be any. [Hanna isn't trying to hide it, and he figures that will come out eventually.]
I know Sokie was going to get an earful from Arthur, but Lark is just about ready to pick a fight in Vinny's defense. It's...kind of a weird line to walk with that in mind with his majesty, but seeing as he technically wasn't harmed aside from the inconvenience and strange feeling of being dismantled for a couple hours, I'm working a different angle than asking for repercussions.
Not that I think He or his buddy are going to let this be the end of it, but there are a bunch of eyes on this already. Hopefully we can nip anything else in this stupid vicious circle in the bud before it escalates again.

It was given to me by Vincent, at least the first piece. After I reassembled it, it was disposed of, and I made it perfectly clear to both of them that was the first and last one we needed to see on board.
[Hanna lies smoothly enough, he doesn't have a tell currently, and has no need to embellish it like he might if he was trying to hide something about himself. And technically he isn't lying at all. Disposed of into the back reaches of his closet, is still disposed of, right?]
It was a complicated process to create it, so that will at least deter them if they wanted to try and go behind my back to make another one.

Nanaki took offense to that. His ears fell flat.
"That's not funny, you know."
He absolutely was not whining. He maybe was pouting just a little.

Nanaki sat back up as Vincent came down to him. His expression cleared as Vincent explained. Nanaki hadn't meant to express that much offense at the joke. But it was still nice to be reassured.
He nodded solemnly. "I do." He butted his head against Vincent's knee for added emphasis.
