"It is." He tells Vincent first and foremost. "When the wound becomes too large or too life-threatening, then the full tank ought to be used."

Back to Justine. Thrawn has endless stores of patience for those willing to learn; he answers as smooth and quick as he's able to find the words. He lowers his arm down for her to see, allowing her to turn his palm how she likes.

"No more pain than the wound itself, and the age of it does not matter; bacta will urge along a body's natural healing, which is why it's considered my galaxy's effective 'cure all'. It does work on broken bones, but I would suggest coating a regular cast with bacta inside first so that when the bone is knitted together again, it does not heal the wrong way. And of course, physical therapy will still be needed."

Physical therapy. She moves her lips to repeat the words, though she doesn't actually know what it entails. She'll need to look it up later.

She turns his hand towards her, watching it carefully, reaching out to gently touch the palm of his hand where the wound had been. It doesn't open, nor does it give any indication that it might be an illusion.

"What are the components of it?" she wonders, ignoring Vincent. He has his questions for his reasons, she has her's for her own.

"It is." He confirms with Vincent. "Really, what's done isn't a hard plaster mold - more of a sturdy layering of cloth bandages would do. The major reason it isn't fully conducted is usually cost and a sense of claustrophobia: if you are uncomfortable with the feeling of drowning or your injuries are minor, the tank becomes overkill."

To Justine, he begins to remove the patch, showing her how it sticks briefly to the skin before releasing, bearing unbroken skin underneath.

"If you're asking for a complete biometric read-out, I can deliver that to you both. The short answer is it's a sort of bacteria. A living component that reads your body make-up and acts as your blood cells would, only far more quickly."

She looks over her shoulder. "If you have the information, Monsieur, might I have it?" She doesn't bother fluttering her eyelashes or any of the other nonsense she usually uses to get what she wants. If she can't get it from Vincent, then she can get it from Thrawn with very little effort.

She returns her attention to underneath the patch, sucking in air through her teeth at the look of it. Fascinating.

"No - it is the same mixture."

Thrawn inclines his head in acknowledgement, and removes the patch entirely to throw it away.

"Will that be all, Warden Valentine?"

To Justine, he turns to leave, but waits for her at the doorway, figuring she may linger and he'll offer to walk her out. He needs to apologize for the loss of her knife.

Justine just smiles. "Lovely!" she chirps, all pleasantries now, and will take the knife from him as she reaches the door. It gets tucked back inside of her corset and she looks up to Thrawn. She's quite pleased with herself, with this outing, now that it's concluded.

She has so much to write.

"Why is everyone so difficult on this ship?" she sighs, keeping her tone just loud enough to hopefully make it back to Vincent.

He gestures for her to go ahead of him and walks Justine out, voice low but distinct;

"A low level of trust, I presume."
