He isn't sure what to make of Vincent's nonreaction, the way he seems confident in his own actions, even as he ignores what Varker says and pushes forward.

"I'm not responsible if it bites you," Varker says to him with little humor, the tongue still tasting the air, though it shrinks back a little when Vincent offers his hand. Curiously it slowly inches forward again, taking in the scent, and much like an animal acknowledging another it growls, though it's less threatening than usual followed by a rather strange and eerie clicking sound. Pulling it's tongue back into it's mouth, it wrinkles it's upper lip and seems a little dissatisfied with what ever Vincent is that it can't quite place, much like it's fear and irritation with John Doe.

What ever isn't threatened is a threat. "I have no idea what that means, but I'd appreciate it if you stopped interacting with it. It's drooling gets in my eyes and on my shirt sometimes, and it's disgusting."
